Seeds were planted the end of March, and doing well. I decided to invest in a couple of heat mats. I use to set the seeds on the radiators, and I think it does help. These seedlings are much stronger. I didn't use the mini greenhouse cover- it would just get too humid.
I've already transplanted some lilies from next to the fence- some are still in the pond area, and quite a few are in the berm area- yes the rocks and roots are still there! Pulled up some of the black plastic- weeds still growing of course, but should be pretty easy to till. I also put my tiny lingonberry in on the west side of the berm.
Put in peas, swiss chard, spinach, and lettuce- some in the cold frame. Once that comes up and established I'll move the cold frame and use it for tomatoes. I don't know where all the veg will go, but I need to start getting the berm area ready! I am going to try potatoes in the bag again, plus some in ground- if I have space. I'm also adding more peppers, squash and melon. I'm going to try growing Jerusalem artichokes- probably by the fence, and I have three willamette hop plants that are growing like crazy and need to get in the ground soon!
I still have to clean the ponds, and get the pumps running and put in the water lilies- they look like they survived- time will tell.
